I had been a mentor at Charlton’s Referees Academy for a number of years and Jeff through his contacts at a kit manufacturer arranged for me to officiate at a game played at Wembley yes Wembley. That’s Jeff , always thinking of and helping others.

I spent many days travelling to football matches. My one memory that really sticks out, was his selection of tunes. Nessun Dorma and Simply the Best….
